If you stroll past The Courthouse on a weekend late morning, you can usually hear the mood before you step inside — glasses clinking, friends greeting each other across the room, and the soft roar of the pizza oven firing up. That’s Bottomless Brunch energy, and it hits a little different in a country pub that’s been welcoming people since 1859.
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we settle in for 90 minutes of good company, free-flowing cocktails, beer and wine, and wood-fired pizzas shared around the table. At $70 per person, it’s one of the easiest, most enjoyable ways to ease into the weekend.
Warming Up the Pizza Oven

While town is still rubbing the sleep from its eyes, our kitchen is already buzzing. Dough getting its final stretch, toppings chopped fresh, the wood-fire crackling to life.
There’s a lovely calm before Bottomless Brunch really kicks off — the kind of morning where the sunlight comes through the old windows just right, and the pub feels like it’s taking a deep breath with us.
Here Come the First Drinks
Right on the dot, the first groups wander in. Birthday catch-ups, family gatherings, friends who’ve been planning this all week — and the occasional couple who just really like pizza and cocktails (fair enough too).
Once the drinks start flowing, the whole place picks up its weekend rhythm. Laughter rolls across the room, jugs clink together, and the first pizzas land on tables like a warm welcome.
Recently, Emily left a review that summed it up perfectly:
“Bottomless Pizza and Drinks was the perfect afternoon out… classic old fashioned wood fire pizzas… cocktail menu was impressive and delicious, servers were lovely.”
Hearing things like that reminds us why we love doing this.
Pizza, Plenty of It
Bottomless Brunch here isn’t about dainty plates — it’s about proper wood-fired pizzas, hot from the oven, shared around like a long lunch should be.
Everyone has their favourite slice, someone always claims the corner with the biggest char, and there’s never any hesitation when a fresh pizza hits the table.
The 90-Minute Flow
Ninety minutes might not sound long on paper, but during Bottomless Brunch it feels like its own little pocket of weekend freedom.
Drinks refreshed, pizza topped up, music humming, and easy chats rolling on as if nobody’s watching the clock. On sunny days the beer garden fills first — cold drinks in hand, warm bricks underfoot, and that laid-back Smythesdale air settling over everyone.
Why We Love It
We’ve been part of this community since 1859, and weekends like these feel right at home in the story of this old building. Good food, good conversations, and people enjoying each other’s company — that’s the heart of a country pub.
So whether you’re celebrating something big or simply treating yourself to a long, lazy lunch, we’ll have the oven hot and the drinks chilled. Grab your mates and settle in — brunch is better when it’s bottomless.
